A new elementary school tradition — April 2027

We’re excited to be running our school’s first-ever Science Fair — a participation-based event (no competitive judging!) where every student gets to share their project and receive a personalized certificate with their name and project title. The event wraps up with a group closing ceremony celebrating all our young scientists together.

About the Fair

Students can work individually or in small groups. Each project centers on a hands-on science experiment or a research topic, presented on a poster board on the day of the fair. Need inspiration? Check out these project idea resources:

Open Roles

• Event Lead & Logistics — Day-of planning, venue setup, schedule · ~2–3 hrs/month planning + full day on event day · Mostly in-person · Both, planning + heavy day-of
• Communications & Volunteers — Parent outreach, volunteer coordination · ~2–3 hrs/month, Aug–April · Mostly online · Early effort, before event
• Certificates Chair (optional) — Designing & producing certificates · A few hrs/week in Feb–April · Fully remote/online · Early effort, none day-of

Roles can combine or split depending on how many people join — pick what fits your bandwidth.
